Have you ever worked with a coach? What was that like? What was most helpful?
What are some of your top strengths as a leader?
What gets you most excited about leading your team?
What is your greatest challenge as a leader?
Have you ever taken the StrengthsFinder 2.0? If so, do you remember your Top 5?
These questions give me the info to then talk about how coaching can meet the needs of the client. I usually send prospective clients a pretty lengthy questionnaire with some of these questions, and this exercise has helped me identify that I need to revise it, since it has a lot of extraneous info. I also felt comfortable taking the info Holly gave me to summarize how coaching could support her in using her strengths to do better in the areas where she’d like to improve.
